You've asked some interesting questions.
Jump to Dawn's original questions. Its perfectly natural for some women to be interested in cars and other things which are more commonly viewed as 'boy things.' Its also perfectly natural for some men to be interested in fashion design or owning/working in a women's hair salon.
Neither interest automatically indicates a woman is a lesbian or a man is gay. You've told us you "like women." If that means you're a lesbian, being a lesbian is just as natural, just as normal for you as being attracted to guys is normal for women who are not lesbians.
Why do I like women? The best answer I can give you is that liking women or liking men is an innate orientation characteristic. Its kind of like asking, Why am I left-handed or Why do I like ice cream? We don't know exactly why. Its partly a matter of DNA - we inherit many characteristics which make us unique and it may be partly a matter of nurture, how we grow up and how we learn to experience the world around us.
Did Jesus say anything about same sex lovers being sin? No, nothing in the Bible and nothing Jesus said during His earthly ministry indicates that loving someone of the same sex is sinful.
Many churches and many Christians contradict my statement above because they misinterpret a few verses of the Bible which, when taken out of context, seem to say that its wrong for two men to have a sexual relationship.
Oddly enough, no verse in the Old Testament and only one verse in the New Testament (Romans 1:26), is sometimes interpreted to mean that its wrong for two women to have a committed partnership which includes sex.
Because I've already answered the same sex question so many times on this website, I'll simply give the Links below, which you can explore at your leisure.
