"I have found passages were God encourages marriage between a man and woman, and he instructs them to:
"be fruitful and multiply."
With that being said, wouldn't man be calling God a liar if man continued to practice homosexuality? Obviously it is not possible for two men or two women to "be fruitful and multiply."
"Let God be true, and every man a liar." Romans 3:4"
Thank you for asking such an interesting question. Your question is based on flawed logic.
"If we can't find it in the Bible,
then it must be wrong."We can easily prove that your logic is false with the following example. There are only a few kinds of transportation mentioned in the Bible.
- Walking
- Riding a horse, mule or camel
- Riding in a wagon or cart
- Riding on a boat
Using your logic, it must be wrong to use a car, bus, train or motorcycle because those methods of transportation are not mentioned in the Bible.
Yet you use a car or a truck and have probably used a bus or an airplane and didn't view that as sinful.
Why would you apply such false logic to a gay and lesbian issue when you refuse to apply the same false logic to your own life?
Can you please show in scripture
where God accepts
a loving, committed
gay relationship?
First,
"be fruitful and multiply" is not the Biblical standard for marriage and is not your standard for marriage.
If it was, you would have to forbid a sterile man or a barren woman from getting married because they cannot be fruitful and multiply.
You would also have to forbid a woman who is past child-bearing age from getting married since she cannot
"be fruitful and multiply."Second, Jonathan and David provide an excellent Biblical example of a loving, committed gay relationship. These Links explore the answer to your intriguing question.
